Many thanks to Fab instructor Rob for putting on an impromptu spinning class this morning - It's a bank holiday here in the UK - and so whilst you were sleeping like babies, we were giving it the full treatment on the spinning bike.

A couple of weeks ago Yvonne happened to mention to one of our neighbours that she was into the "spinning thing" and he guffawed that it was only for pansies.

Pansies? You want to try it mate. And you know who you are. Stop sleeping off a hangover and get yourself on a bike.

This truly is the king of high output cardio exercises. There are several others that come close like rowing or running, but for pure exhileration value this is the best.

A good group turned up today and encouraged by Rob we made light work of the early flats and when it came to climbing Ventoux at the death we were spurred on by the whoops of Hussain who kept urging us to "push on".

Was he really pushing hard or was it bravado?

I've seen him in the chip shop down the road from me (he owns it) and he's always "tasting".

Let alone the singing, which is always out of tune anyway.

I'll always look at thunderbirds in a different light now that it's a countdown to 3!

Good fun was had by all and I just wanted to say a big thanks to Rob for putting on a good show and we really enjoyed it. Much appreciated.

After that we just sort of flaked out and munched! I was too knackered to do any DIY.

That's my excuse and it's a good one!

Finally got the license sorted out for the hosting company and so we should be up and running by the end of June.

On which note.

The server is up and running and I've just got a notification that the billing software is being installed in a couple of days so we should be good to go very shortly.

But if you've been in IT for any length of time you'll know that what should seem the simplest of jobs always turns out to be the longest!
